Plant By Number Gardening Tool
Last summer, I decided it was finally time to tackle our side yard garden. We moved into our home in 2023 and it was time to start focusing on the curb appeal. But, I am new to gardening and it felt very overwhelming. I wasn’t sure what plants went where… or how many to do! That’s when I discovered Plant by Number, a company that takes all the guess work out of yard work!
They design your garden layout for you, and their system makes creating a beautiful garden space easy and achievable. They even have plans where they will ship you FULL SIZE plants! You can watch my Instagram review of the whole program HERE.

How It Works:

There are 3 easy steps!
- Visit PBNDesign.com to begin shopping their garden layouts. They have garden layouts for walkways, driveways, birdbaths, mailboxes, small gardens, large gardens – truly anything you’re looking for!
You’ll notice on the website, some of the garden layouts say “available with plants”. When you select one of those garden layouts, you also receive full size plants shipped directly to your home. Plant By Number works with different plant nurseries to provide high quality, beautiful plants. It all based off your zip code and planting zones.
If you choose a plan without the plants or simply would like to get your own, the Plant by Number plans share recommendations on plants. They truly make it very easy! - Receive or purchase your plants. It was incredible to receive our plants in the mail. They came via Fedex and the delivery driver and I got a kick out of all the boxes. And I couldn’t believe it when we started opening them, they were full size plants that were stunning in color. Vibrant greens, beautiful purples, bright pinks. Gorgeous!
- Plant your plants. The Plant By Number garden layouts tell you exactly where to plant which plants. There are large circles that show you how big that particular plant should get. And then each circle has a X of where you are to dig.

And once you’re done, you have a beautiful garden space! I mean, truly beautiful! We received so many compliments last summer on our side garden. I am very excited to see them bloom this year!
Also, so many of the plants are pollenators! So you’re not only adding gorgeous foliage to your yard but you’re helping the environment and attracting butterflies!

If you’ve added gardening or yardwork to your 2026 New Year’s Resolutions – Plant By Number is here to make this much easier for you!
You’re going to love the process and the plants! Visit PBNDesign.com to get started today!
