New Year’s Day Quiche Recipe for Good Luck
New Year’s Day always feels like an invitation to slow down, sip one more cup of coffee and ease into the year ahead. I also love leaning into the traditional foods that symbolize good luck and abundance for the year to come.
- Pork = Progress, Moving Forward and Prosperity
- Greens = Money
- Lentils/Black-Eyed Peas = Coins and Wealth
- Fish = Abundance and Swimming Forward
- Long Noodles = Long Life
- Golden Corn Bread = Good Fortune
This cozy quiche was simple to take and filled with ingredients that feel both comforting and intentional. So whether you’re hosting family or friends or enjoying a quiet start to January, this quiche is a warm and meaningful way to begin a new year.

For our 2026 New Years Day Breakfast, I made a New Years Day Quiche with bacon(pork) and spinach!
Here is the very simple recipe:
- Set your pie crust out on the counter about 20 minutes before you begin. This helps it warm up and makes it easier to roll out. I used the Publix brand pie crust, but you can use any that you like or even make your own!
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees
- Chop and cook your toppings! I cooked half a package of bacon and then chopped it into tiny pieces. I also chopped about 2 handfuls of spinach into bite size pieces. Lastly, I added red bell pepper… not for good luck, but just because I love bell pepper!
- Whisk together 4 eggs and 1 cup of milk
- Roll out your pie crust into your baking pan. I couldn’t find our pie baking dish anywhere this morning so I used a small 9×9 baking dish and it worked just fine. It would have definitely looked prettier in a pie baking dish – but oh well!
- Add your toppings to your pie crust. If you’re adding cheese to your quiche, this is when you will also add that!
- Pour in your whisked eggs and milk.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour. All ovens are different, so check your after 45 minutes – if you notice the eggs mixture is moving that it isn’t ready yet!

This was delicious!! I ate this for breakfast….and then lunch. And then the next day, too.
If you make this, be sure to tag me @AthomewithAmanda_ so I can see what toppings you included!
However you’re welcoming the new year, I hope this quiche finds its way to your table! Whether you believe New Year’s food traditions or simply love a cozy, homemade meal, there’s something special about starting a new year with a new recipe.
May 2026 bring you joy, good luck and all your favorite things!
Xo,
Amanda
